“In 2012 we launched the Tenderloin Safe Passage Route. Our goal in doing so is to raise awareness of the large number of children and families who make the Tenderloin home and to focus community driven safety efforts in ways that can make the most impact. Our ongoing volunteer driven Corner Captain program places trained safety monitors on high-traffic, high-risk intersections along the route during weekday after-school times.”

Join us in working with Tenderloin Safe Passage’s Corner Captains to ensure that schoolchildren make it safely home from school.

“The mission of the Parks Conservancy is to preserve the Golden Gate National Parks, enhance the park visitor experience, and build a community dedicated to conserving the parks for the future.”

This month we’ll be weeding and helping to maintain walking trails at Baker Beach.

“Glide is a community organization that provides meals, healthcare, and other supportive services to people in need.”

Glide’s Daily Free Meals Program serves up to 2,400 meals per day to our community. Volunteers assist with everything from serving food, to bussing tables, to handing out silverware and condiments. Please wear comfortable shoes as you’ll be standing and serving.
